The villages Hahnenklee en Bockswiese are located about 14 km from the old city of Goslar,
in the wooded surroundings of " The Harz "in Germany and is characterized by its beautiful scenery,
unspoiled nature with its beautiful old picturesque towns , castles, streams, forests,
cycling and great walks.
Hahnenklee-Bockswiese is located in the district of Goslar and is often referred to Hahnenklee
 
as Goslar.     

Goslar is the place is where art, culture and history can be found, the Nuns Carpet
the adjacent playground for relaxation and sport.
This idyllic resort attracts over 100,000 visitors each year to experience the beautiful nature.
It is a dream for hikers with trails for all levels from 5 to 25 kilometers, including trails for wheelchair users.
Some of these routes start from the top of the mountain (726m).

One of the sights you cannot ignore is the stave church Gustav-Adolf-  Stabkirche ,
This was built in 1907 - 1908 and modeled on the Norwegian stave churches.
This stave church is built entirely from local wood out of the Harz Forest and is a beautiful building to see,
both inside and out.

The German composer
Paul Lincke, the creator of the Berlin opera "Berlin air" the hymn of Berlin, spent the last months of his life here and is buried at the cemetery of the city. 

The newly opened mountain bike park in Hahnenklee is a must for mountain bikers.
This mountain park is part of 
Volksbank Arena Harz ,
This includes more than 1,800 kilometer network of mountain bike trails.
This organized, well-structured mountain bike trails will give you extreme pleasure.
You can use the 
Bocksberg cable car to the top and cycle down by bike
on one of the 7 trails from beginner to advanced.
If you want to try something else then go down on of the monster rollers.
Bicycles and Rollers can be hired locally.
There is an excellent shop called 
Boards en Bikes and is located next to the gondola.

When riding down a mountain is not your thing, then Hahnenklee offers many great hiking trails.
The latter opened in 2007 and is called the
 
Liebesbankweg.
A beautiful 7 km long tour with 25 individually designed benches offers stunning views over a beautiful countryside.
It tells the story of marriage and love .....!
The path winds along wide paths, natural meadows and clear lakes and is suitable for all levels.

Hahnenklee has full winter sports facilities with ice skating and five ski slopes in varying difficulty.
One large ski slope is equipped with various snow cannons making snow skiing almost guaranteed ......
For the next season the other ski slopes will also be equipped with additional snow cannons.
Sled riders will have fun on the new 1,500-meter-long toboggan run.
